THE COMPANY

Our client is an international, one stop shopping sourcing group based in Shanghai, China, offering a comprehensive range of household goods and marketing services largely to the retail industry. They are now looking to expand their sourcing team with a Textile Technician.

 

THE POSITION

To provide quality QA inspection services to ensure that customers' quality standards are met
 
Job Descriptions:
 
1.Conduct in-line and final product inspections and provide solutions to solve quality issues
 
- Inspect materials, parts, components and products for color, measurements, labels and overall quality
- Prepare, consolidate, update and file audit reports
- Provide technical advice to factories to solve production and quality problems
- Specify timeframe for factories to implement improvements
 
2. Check samples against product specifications to ensure that they meet customers' quality standards
 
- Inspect samples (sub-assembly product samples, pilot-run samples or customers' samples) including materials, parts, components etc.
 
3. Provide technical support to merchandisers, factories and customers to ensure product quality
 
- Give suggestions to factories based on factory capacity and availability of machinery to ensure product quality
- Answer merchandisers' enquires on quality or material issues
 
4. Provide QA advice to factories before and during the manufacturing process
 
- Communicate customers' quality requirements to factories
- Check if materials used for bulk production are of acceptable quality
- Anticipate quality issues that may arise in the manufacturing process
 
5. Perform other duties as assigned by Management

THE CANDIDATE

1.Education Level: College or university graduated.
 
2.Years of Experience: 5-7 years experiences in Manufacturing Industry or Buying/Trading office on garment fields for US/EU Market.
 
3.Good technical knowledge on textile and Home textile.
 
4.Language Skills: Good on written English, intermediate level of oral English.
 
5.Computer Skills: Able to use Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, etc) professionally.
 
6.Travel Requirements: Frequently

This is a full time position and remuneration is based on qualifications
