For our client we are searching for an experienced Business Development Director to take/bring our message of a new era in advertising to the market, setting up meetings, agency presentations and ultimately close new clients deal based on their position as a world class creative agency.

As one of the worlds leading creative agency the new Business Development Director must respect and understand the importance of outstanding work rather than exercising request/delivery culture most agencies in China are based on. It might even be the Business Development Director has a background from strategy or creative development.

Tasks:

·       Lead by example, motivating, guiding and overlooking the performance of the account team

·       Account head of their Shanghai’s latest new client signing, a well known and market leading international brand famous for setting new standards with provoking and outstanding advertising

·       Participate in the standing senior management team at the agency

You:

·       have a very wide personal network including senior marketers in several international brands and companies. You can use this personal network to set up meetings, open doors and arrange agency presentations

·       have a proven track record building clients relations and closing deals. And you may even have one or two clients with you when you come to us

·       are not just in advertising by mistake but because you feel passionate about communication and advertising. You respect the creative ideas and believe, like us, it’s time for a new, modern approach to advertising in China, build on doing new things rather than just copying the competitors

Requirements:

We think you have more than 8 years of experience probably from another independent advertising agency or the client’s side but we’re open for alternative profiles as long as you are experienced on a senior level and have proven history, delivering results in fields matching our needs

We expect you to be able to deliver personal references/recommendations. We will conduct a background check on all qualified candidates
