Our client is an international, one
stop shopping sourcing group based in Shanghai, China, offering a comprehensive
range of household goods and marketing services largely to the retail industry.
They are now looking to expand their sourcing team with 3 key players.
THE POSITIONS
3 merchandisers – Fabric Division, Furniture Division and Seasonal
Division.
THE CANDIDATE
KEY
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage
and coordinate suppliers to meet the Division’s goals in regards to cost and
delivery by applying specialist procurement and merchandising skills.
Manage
the process for quotations, negotiation of purchase contracts, follow-up,
scheduling and expediting of export shipments and domestic deliveries.
Communicate
with external customer to ensure procurement strategies are aligned with those
of the customer and the group to produce a commercial product within their
product class.
Source,
manage, and develop relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous
improvement of products and services that meets requirements.
Improve
systems and processes to deliver greater efficiency of service to the business,
customers, the company and third party providers.
Develop
and implement procurement policies where required in conjunction with internal
and group departments e.g. Product development, Quality, Finance and Sales.
Review,
manage and process claims against suppliers for late delivery and inferior
product.
Prepare
and execute presentations to customers as required.
Liaise
with department managers as required to ensure delivery schedules are met.
WORKING

merchandise Team, others.
External working with
customer, vendor, third party, manufactory, and others.
QUALIFICATIONS
College
graduated with mini 3 to 5 years working experience in multinational company as
the merchandiser, Experience with EU market is very strongly preferred
Excellent
understanding of the fabric production process (fabric position), experience
from furniture design (furniture division), European retail markets (all
positions) and purchasing (all positions).
Familiar
with orders process, excellent communication skills between customer and
vendors for handle all production issues.
Good skill and knowledge of purchasing
fundamentals, commercial contract laws, international business acumen and
supply chain processes.
Good character, passionate with good
can-do attitude, flexible to work, and positive attitude.
Fast
learner and always act promptly, can work under pressure.
Strong
sense of responsibility and able to solve problems might have from Inquiry
stage to shipment made, ensure quality standard and on time shipment Achieved
per customer required.
Able
to work independently and as well as organized, team work player.
Detailed
and result oriented, can working flexible, good character, passionate,
positive.
Fluent
Mandarin and English written and verbal.
Computer Literate, MS office is a
must.
